Learning how to drive can be quite a stressful, time-consuming and financially draining experience. And it could seem daunting and overwhelming to learners.
But many of us need certainly to drive. So we've come up with a handy list of useful tips that will help you pass your driving test as quickly and cheaply as possible.
1. GIVE YOURSELF A HEAD START
It pays to know the fundamentals before your first lesson. The odds are that someone in your area owns an automobile, so get them to demonstrate the main element parts before your first lesson. Knowing the right path around a car beforehand will make it easier whenever your instructor comes to explain to you how to drive a car.
2. CHOOSE THE RIGHT TRANSMISSION
Although folks are encouraged to at least try to master to operate a vehicle in an information car, it is not for everybody. Lots of people now opt to learn to operate a vehicle in a computerized cars which is often far more convenient and a lot more fuel efficient than manual cars.
But just be aware that if you obtain an automatic driving license, you won't be permitted to drive an information car.
3. BLOCK BOOK YOUR LESSONS
No minimum quantity of lessons are needed to pass your test and there is no fixed time frame for learning how to drive. A lot of people spread their driving lessons out over several months but you can even take an intensive driving course if your budget allows.
If you choose to spread out your lessons, we suggest block booking them with at least one or two lessons weekly for weeks in advance. In this manner you'll remember more going into each lesson and you won't need to bother about the availability of your instructor. Some instructors might also give you a discount for block booking.
4. SHOP AROUND FOR AN INSTRUCTOR
Choosing the right instructor is essential to how quickly you learn. Don't just go with the initial instructor you find. Ring round the big driving schools and local approved driving instructors and question them on the prices, qualifications, experience and track record. Word of mouth from people you trust is usually a good means of choosing an instructor.
But, if you're really not happy along with your instructor, don't be afraid to switch. It could save you time and profit the long run.
